Warrane’s proud tradition of community volunteer projects was recognised recently by the Legislative Council of NSW Parliament.

Following the visit to Warrane of the NSW Minister for Citizenship and Communities, The Honourable Victor Dominello MP, a motion was passed in Parliament acknowledging the volunteer work of Warrane residents both locally and overseas.

In 2011, over 50 Warrane residents took place in volunteer work, including work with St. Vincent De Paul’s Task Force programme, visits to Mount St Joseph’s Home for the Aged in Randwick, the Missionaries of Charity soup kitchen in Surry Hills, and volunteer projects in Ipswich and East Timor.
