Vale to Graduating Residents

Warrane formally farewelled 8 of its senior residents at this week’s Wednesday night dinner. John O’Callaghan (Bachelor of Planning), Benjamin Ting (Bachelor of Engineering), Daran Mahenthirarajah (Bachelor of Commerce), Jacob Pfleger (Bachelor of Aviation [Management]), Paul Streater (Bachelor of Science), Vivek Ambat (Bachelor of Engineering), Shaun Reynolds (Bachelor of Planning), and Samar Maker (Bachelor of Engineering) were the valedictorians for 2010.

The Master of the College, Emeritus Professor Tony Shannon AM, presented each of the residents with a Valedicts’ Plaque and a secondary testamur outlining the various contributions of the residents to College life. Short speeches were then delivered by other residents in honour of the valedictorians. The evening concluded with a gathering at the Doncaster Hotel.

“It was a great way to commemorate the years I’ve had in College” said valedictorian and senior tutor John O’Callaghan. “Warrane is a unique place and you come to realise this the more time you spend here.”
