Running Season

Unprecedented numbers of Warrane residents took part in Sydney's 'running season', with the highlight being 20 residents competing in the Sun Herald City to Surf.

“Plenty of us were interested in entering the race, and the training was a good, healthy study break” said second year engineering student Jack Johnson. “Having a group of people made it easier to train.”

The work obviously paid off, with Warrane taking out the annual inter-college cross country event. Three Warrane residents came in the top ten in the race, with second year resident Rob Joseph coming in first place for the second year in a row.

“I wasn't as confident as last year, but it was really good to get the double” Rob said. Rob achieved a very competitive time of 54 minutes and 12 seconds in the City to Surf.
