Application Process

Applying for residency in Warrane College involves completing an application form (available online) and doing an interview with a staff member of the College or their representatives. There is no application fee to apply to Warrane.

The purpose of the interview is twofold, to give the applicant an opportunity to briefly experience the environment of the College and for us to assess the applicant's suitability for residence. Interviewing staff consider the applicant's academic performance, willingness to participate in collegial life and openness to the aims and ethos of the College.  Interviews conducted in the College do not attract a fee.

In some circumstances the College may be able to arrange an interview with its representatives in other Australian cities or overseas. Interstate or overseas interviews may attract a fee in some cases. If there are no other practical alternatives, telephone or Skype interviews can be conducted.

If not uploaded via the application form, applicants who have been selected for an interview should bring to the interview two written references (preferably one academic reference and one character reference).

Warrane College promotes a truly collegial living experience. It is the responsibility of College staff to sustain this through the application process. Applications are considered by several members of College staff.

Applicants will be notified of the result of their application within 7 days of their interview.
