Trading country life for the city can be hard, so it’s a pretty cool thing that a handful of boys who went to school at Newcastle Grammar ended up together at Warrane. Of the six boys, three gave us a look at how they ended up in Sydney, what they’re studying at UNSW, and life at Warrane.

One thing’s for sure – there is no shortage of talent at Warrane. Especially when you’re talking to a couple of residents who happened to enter on the Cultural Scholarship: Clemens Del Rosario and Cameron Day.

If your stereotypical medical student doesn’t have time for anything apart from university, then 25-year old Liam Clifford just isn’t that guy. While he’s been studying hard for seven years at UNSW – three years of medical science, first class honours the following year, and then three years of undergraduate medicine after that – this Warrane resident manages to fit in a whole lot more.

Keen to know why Warrane residents, Patrick and David Tighe, seem to be made of good stuff? We’re guessing there must be something in the water of their hometown of Coonabarabran. Or perhaps there’s something in the stars, because this country town, 500 kilometres north-west of NSW, happens to be the astronomy capital of Australia.

Popular Warrane resident Charbel Zeaiter recently graduated with a Computer Science degree from UNSW and has launched into his professional career, landing a much sought-after position at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
