Professor Andrew Martin ( BA (Hons), MEd (Hons), PhD), is a Scientia Professor, Professor of Educational Psychology, and Co-Chair of the Educational Psychology Research Group in the School of Education at the UNSW. He is a Registered Psychologist (Psychology Board of Australia) who specialises in motivation, engagement, achievement, and quantitative research methods.
Based on sole and first authorships, Andrew placed first in the most recent International Rankings of the Most Published Educational Psychologists, and has written over 250 peer reviewed journal articles. He has won many a grant over the years - in total, securing over $6 million in nationally and internationally competitive grants, government tenders, and corporate/commercial funds.
Andrew has received many honours and titles, including Honorary Research Fellow in the Department of Education at the University of Oxford, Fellow of the American Psychological Association, and Associate Editor of British Journal of Educational Psychology and School Psychology International.
