A group of 17 residents of Warrane spent the period leading up to Christmas this year in Sri Lanka helping to complete sporting facilities in a struggling school on the outskirts of Colombo.

This year Warrane College ran one of the most ambitious programs of its 40-year history - The Big Picture Program - designed to give Year 10 and 11 students an ‘inside look’ into university life and the world of professional work. The program was a great success, attracting dozens of participants from schools across NSW and the ACT.

Two of Warrane’s Valedicts for 2012 – Waqar Rayani and Faraz Siddiqi – took the opportunity at the dinner for this year’s Valedicts to pay tribute to each other and to Warrane for providing an environment in which they could not only grow in friendship, but come to see each other as “brothers”.
